Turkey rescues 12 asylum seekers in Aegean

Turkey’s coast guard has on 27th October, 2020 rescued a total of 12 asylum seekers.

According to the asylum-seekers, they were “pushed back to Turkish waters in the Aegean Sea by Greek coast guard boats.”

Coast guard officials stated that “The asylum seekers were taken to nearby ports and transferred to local migration offices.”

They had been driven back from Greek waters while trying to reach Europe.
