Joe Biden has pledged to end United States’ support for Saudi Arabia’s war in Yemen if he becomes president.

Biden disclosed this in a statement made on his campaign website on Monday October 5, 2020.

The presidential candidate said, “Under Biden-Harris Administration, we will reassess our relationship with the [Saudi Arabia] Kingdom, end US support for Saudi Arabia’s war in Yemen, and make sure America does not check its values at the door to sell arms or buy oil.”

The war in Yemen has been one of the main topics of debate between Biden and his rival, Republican candidate and current President, Donald Trump.

Trump has been supporting Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates in their war in Yemen in return for large arms deals.
