The management of New York Parrot, Parkchester Times, Muslim Community Report and Parrot TV (virtual) under the umbrella of their publisher, Muslim Media Corporation (MMC) in New York, have officially endorsed Eric Adams for the New York City Mayor, according to the Chief Executive Officer and Editor-in-Chief of the four media outlets, Mutiu Olawuyi.
Olawuyi disclosed that this decision was made earlier today after the MMC top management meeting.
“The management unanimously support Eric Adams in this year’s mayoral race because having reviewed all the mayoral candidates’ manifestos, we discover that Eric Adams is undoubtedly the most qualified candidate,” Olawuyi said.
“He is the only candidate that makes public safety priority number one and to actually make it happen. And with public safety, everything progressive in a modern city is possible,” he added.
In a press release signed by both MMC Chairman Sheikh Musa Drammeh and CEO Mutiu Olawuyi, Muslim Media Corporation believes that post-Covid-19 New York City leadership requires someone with decades of experience in public safety services.
“Public safety is the foundation for socio-econmic development, so with Eric Adams Adams who has this as his number priority in his manifesto, there’s a greater hope for New Yorkers,” the press release reads.
“With a leader like Eric Adams with public safety background, we strongly believe that the city will become stronger, safer and economically vibrant post-covid-19,” said Drammeh.
“In addition to public safety which of course will make media and journalistic operation in the City easier and more possible, we believe that the leadership of Eric Adams as the Mayor of New York will bring about sustainability for community media outlets that are on the verge of collapsing due to Covid-19 pandemic.
“All in all, a vote for Eric Adams is a straight vote for abundant prosperity, swift financial recovery and of course safety of souls and properties of New Yorkers,” the press release concludes.
Eric Leroy Adams is an American politician serving as the 18th and current Borough President of Brooklyn, New York City since 2014. He is a candidate in the 2021 New York City mayoral election in the Democratic primary.
