She is trained to be ‘amenable’

So, she always says ‘Yes’

She is taught to be silent

So, she rarely speaks.

She works for her home

In the sun and the moon

She cooks, cares and all.

In twilight

Dropping into dusk

She is in pale brown

Came to the stream

And gracefully filled her pot

With brownish water.

Keeping the pot at the waist’s curve

She balanced her lonely way

And carried the dusk away.

And she hides her tears in a dark corner

Undiscovered by all.

After all, she is hopeful that

She will be a free bird.
